Nourishing Body Balm is the body care product of Skin Perfusion, the professional skincare range of the French laboratory FILLMED Laboratoires. It was created for dry, very dry and dehydrated skin on the body - arms, legs, décolleté, hands and feet - that feels tight, rough or uncomfortable. Its ultra-melting, velvety texture melts into the skin, while a formula that is highly concentrated in nourishing ingredients helps reinforce the skin barrier, rebalance hydration and leave the skin soft and supple, without a greasy residue. It is also recommended as a comforting balm after body aesthetic treatments.

A concentrated nourishing phase - the heart of the formula

The defining feature of the balm is its highly dosed nourishing phase. According to product information from the manufacturer's distributors, this lipid-rich phase represents around 30% of the formula, a level chosen to deliver real comfort to skin that lacks lipids. Dry skin on the body often has fewer natural lipids between its cells, which makes it lose water faster and feel rough or tight.

By supplying emollient lipids such as Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate and Myristyl Myristate, the nourishing phase fills in the gaps of the skin surface, smooths rough areas and helps the skin regain its softness and suppleness.

A complex of nourishing oils

The balm contains a complex of oils that includes Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Oil, a plant oil rich in fatty acids. Together with the nourishing phase, the oils support the skin's natural hydrolipidic film - the thin protective layer that keeps the skin surface supple and limits dehydration.

Nourishing alone is not enough for dehydrated skin, so the formula also relies on well-known humectants: Glycerin and Butylene Glycol attract water and help hold it in the upper layers of the epidermis. At the same time, Dimethicone and light silicones form a breathable, protective film that reduces water loss and gives the skin a smooth, velvety feel.

This combination of water-binding ingredients and film-forming lipids is what allows the balm to both hydrate and protect, helping the skin barrier recover its resilience day after day.

Warnings and contraindications

For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Do not apply to open wounds, fresh injection points or broken skin. The formula contains fragrance and the fragrance allergens Limonene, Linalool, Geraniol and Citral; people with a known perfume allergy should avoid the product or test it first on a small area.
